I have had the opportunity to train several Equestrian Show Jumpers. It’s a sport that requires a great deal of fitness such as core stability, balance, strength, endurance and coordination. Participants are encouraged to get involved in a personal training program that will help with the previously mentioned fitness components. This will help the athlete place higher by being able to maintain proper positioning and form throughout the coarse. In equestrian jumping, judges look at form with a critical eye. The athlete must be able to maintain a connection to the horse to convey that they are in charge and be strong enough to keep the horse focused throughout the ride. If not, they may lose control as well as precious points and place lower due to fitness related issues. I can help you create a strong center of balance, strength, endurance and core strength specific to riding and jumping that will help you maintain form throughout the contest. I do this by utilizing specific exercises that target those muscles which are critical to the sport.
